ODYSSEA 2024
ODSeaLab [Observe, Design and Save] is a collaborative platform that accelerates technological solutions. Its aim is to rethink and transform production processes and the choice of materials, with a particular focus on renewable energy production, electricity storage, and zero-emission propulsion for eco-friendly living on board.

Travel Autonomously
Under favorable conditions, the production of solar, wind, or water energy can provide optimal autonomy for extended stays in an idyllic anchorage. The system not only efficiently manages green energy production but also automatically takes over the tasks of the internal combustion engine to ensure that the battery pack always maintains a minimum charge level and recharges as needed.
This autonomous operation allows you to spend more time in remote locations without relying on external energy sources, all while prioritizing environmentally friendly energy usage.

If you want to reduce your carbon footprint while ensuring maximum cruising autonomy, Fountaine Pajot offers innovative solutions. You can equip your catamaran with technologies capable of producing renewable energy, whether you are sailing or at anchor.
The system includes solar panels for harnessing solar energy, as well as wind turbines that convert the power of the wind into usable energy. Additionally, there is an option to utilize water energy, such as through hydro turbines that transform the energy of water movement.
These energy sources allow the onboard equipment, lighting, and other electrical devices to operate continuously without relying on fossil fuels. This way, the sailing experience becomes not only more sustainable but also more economical, as you can reduce your operational costs while maintaining an eco-friendly lifestyle on the water.
Solar panels
Designed to blend perfectly with the design of your Fountaine Pajot electric catamaran, these 400 to 2,000 Wc solar panels (depending on the size of your model) can provide excellent energy production all day long, to power the equipment needed for life on board.
Hydro-generators
Fitted with two propellers, your catamaran will be able to produce energy under sail. With the ODSea+ system, you can control your hydro generation at the click of a button, depending on the energy load you need to produce. They can deliver almost 1 Kw per propeller at an average speed of 8 knots.
Wind turbines
The wind turbines, installed at the stern of your catamaran, help you capitalise on another natural source of energy that is always there on any cruise: the wind. Day or night, two propellers can produce an output of 600 watts per hour.
